Moz-Agri LDA is based app halfway between Beira and Tete. In 2009 the Leaseholds of 2 irrigation farms, Chuala and Nhazonia, were obtained. Recently the Leasehold over a 3rd farm was obtained Through Zaancor LDA.
These 3 farms are situated in close proximity on the perennial Nhazonia River and each enjoy ~2km of river frontage.
The 4th farm, Mucombeze, will be operated with Moz-Agri and is a 4800Ha livestock farm.
During 2013 a dam with the capacity to cover
10,000ha will be built up-stream from all the farms on the Nhazonia River.
The shareholders of Moz-Agri Lda are Chris Serfontein(Mozambican) and Theo Ferreira (South African). Chris Serfontein is the majority shareholder and MD of Moz-Agri. He previously managed one of the largest horticultural farms in Mozambique. He has obtained Mozambican citizenship and is well versed in Portuguese.”
